Digital Radiology

Digital x-rays have a lot of advantages over conventional x-rays.  Not only do they use up to 90% less radiation, but they are faster and more accurate.

We have the latest DR (digital radiology) technology which has the x-ray plate embedded in the table and creates a digital image within 3 seconds of hitting the exposure button.  We have a magnetic floating table to position the patient for more comfort. 

DR images are the highest quality radiographs currently available and enable us to see the greatest details in the structures that we image.  Radiographs are an excellent tool to assess the lungs,bones and joints.  Computer programs allow the image to be processed further to zoom in to different areas or enhance or decrease contrast in the x-rays, similar to Photoshop for your vacation pictures.

Digital images can also be sent to a specialist radiologist for a second opinion.  Usually we receive a radiologist report within 24 hours of submitting the images!
